Culdaff Writer Hazel McIntyre, recieved many massages of congratulations including one from singer, Daniel O Donnell, when her new book " Echoes of Another Time", was launched on Friday 20th October in Culdaff. More than 300 guests attented the launch which was preformed by Dr. Paddy Fitzgerald Lecturer and Development Officer For The Centre of Migrations Studies at the Ulster American Folk Park, who prased Hazel's literary skills and her commitment to writing.

Among those in attendance were 14 members of an amateur dramitic society from Northampton who took in the launch as part of a visit to Inishowen for the Charles Macklin Autumn school and Canadian visitors, Penny and Peter Birchell from Toronto.
There were also congratulations messages from Canadian General John de Chastelain and Lynn Reece Loftus, director of the Canadian-Irish Education Programme.

Hazel McIntyre forged strong links between Inishowen and New Brunswick Canada, while carrying out research for her second novel, "Lament in the Wind", and this summer she was invited to conduct a series of workshops at the Maramachi festival in New Brunswick.

Entertainment at the launch was provided by pupils of the Irish Traditional Music Project, Domnic Mc Daid and the Cavanagh Brothers, Greencastle and another local author Sean Beattie, introduced the speakers.
Echoes of Another Time is the Culdaff writers fourth book in which she recalls her child hood memories of growing up in Inishowen in the late 1950's and 60s and mixed it with a little bit of fiction to weave a compelling collection of stories.
Similar in style to her first book"Iron Wheels on Rocky Lanes" which is now in its fourth print " Echoes of Another Time" will appeal to readers of all ages and looks set to be another best seller for the Culdaff Writer.
